This was a cool pack. It had one of the two autos in the box, a Dwight Powell “Hot Signatures” card. At first cut, I looked at it and thought, “Dude has a lazy signature. C’mon man!” Then I read about him a little and saw that he went to Stanford, and it made sense that he forgot all the letters in his name. Also got a refractor card with him earlier this week. Normally, I would start a mini-collection in this case, but dude went to Stanford, so I’m not going to bother. Go Bears!!! Just kidding of course, most Cal alumni develop a respect for Stanford over time. 🙂 Anyhow, nice to get the first hit and the card itself is cool (or hot as the case my be).
Funny, when I saw the Julius Randle card, I knew I had seen that picture before. Yup:
There’s one part of me that thinks it’s super corny for card manufacturers to use the same pictures for different sets, and another that think’s it creative. Panini does it, Topps does it, not sure about UD. I’ll leave it at that. Overall I liked this pack!
